Impromptu portrait session

So with a near-empty garage - something my house hasn't seen in the almost three years I've lived here - I wanted to take advantage of the space and start to build my own studio. Or more accurately, just setup a space where I can actually take photos without having to rearrange a sofa, a dining room table, chairs or a bed.

It's been a while since I've posted because of school, work and homework. Here are some of my frames from a recent wedding I shot with another photographer. A few other images are also in a gallery.

Weddings are a good time in general, but when you work a wedding it's extremely fast-paced, tiring but still fun.

Journalism casualties

Another sad day for those in the Los Angeles Newspaper Group, more newsroom cuts at more than one of the papers in the Singleton Southern California conglomerate.

If I was getting cold feet about leaving Journalism (and I wasn't, but if I was) this was all the reinforcement I'd ever need.

Baseball snaps

After a very quick weekend in Arizona, I'm back in SoCal. Here's a small sample of shots from the two games I went to. At the Giants' game in Scottsdale and they let me get right to the bottom of the aisle, but at the Cubs' park they wouldn't allow me down there. It was disappointing, but I still got some shots I liked.
